r. Gerberg is Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Career Technologies (ACT). He founded the firm, along with a group of senior executives, HR Directors, and others with experience in the employment field. Originally a dot-com, the firm shifted as it came out of that era.
Mr. Gerberg has experience working in general management, sales and marketing with a Fortune 500 firm, consulting firms, and start-up ventures. Industry experience includes the Internet, consumer packaged goods, specialty consulting services, publishing, and retail.
He has also developed expertise in a wide variety of business areas critical to the success of both start-up ventures and ongoing concerns, including profit and loss responsibility, affiliate and online network marketing, licensing and distribution agreements, consulting service delivery and quality control, new product development, corporate and consumer sales, recruitment and human resources, search engine optimization, financial management, legal services and real estate.
He has been instrumental in every phase of the development of ACT since its inception, including the conceptual framework, technical, design, programming, and production of the first beta websites, development of online consumer merchant systems, interactive database elements, the production and testing of corporate and private service presentations, and the implementation of world-class service delivery systems.
Mr. Gerberg has overseen each of the divisions of the firm, including an e-cruiting division, a global professional resume writing division, a firm that specializes in management of job campaigns and senior executive outplacement, and a technology division which operates a worldwide search engine for job seekers. The organization has approximately 500 professionals associated with the firm on a full- and part-time basis, and is headquartered in Colorado.
Mr. Gerberg began his career in sales with the Personal Products Division of Bausch & Lomb. With the company, Mr. Gerberg effectively interfaced with management at all levels and developed, coordinated, and followed through on programs for new products, advertising, and customer service. In the most competitive environment in the history of the Division, Mr. Gerberg became the company's top area producer.
While at Princeton/Masters International, a licensing based career management service firm, he was Vice President for new products and advertising. More than $100,000,000 in sales were developed by licensees.
Earlier in his career, he gained extensive experience in a number of publishing and career related businesses. Through his college and post graduate years. Mr. Gerberg has been President of Princeton/Masters Press where he published one of the more successful job hunting books in the 1990s, "An Easier Way to Change Jobs." Over 500,000 copies were put in circulation and the book provided the basic system that was used by all licensees.
Mr. Gerberg resides in Colorado with his wife Anthea, and three children. His personal interests over the years have varied widely and include competing in the sports of marathon running, triathlons, and adventure racing. He currently holds the rank of Shodan (1st degree Black Belt) in the martial art of Aikido, which he received while practicing under one of the most respected Aikido Senseis in the U.S.
He has a BA in Political Science from Colgate University, an MBA in Finance & Marketing from The University of Colorado — Leeds School of Business, in Boulder, and has completed advanced studies at Harvard Business School.
